Catching a mess of perch.
It’s finally here. The end of the work week. The kids are busy loading up fishing poles and pudgy pies. The dog is curled up in the back seat. The map is on the dash and you’re ready to roll. You start by heading north, following the shoreline. The sky lengthens. Towns grow smaller. The highway finally empties into Spider Lake. You unhitch, hook up and settle in to your new neighborhood for the week. Together.
