Sundown RV offers a wide variety of rentals. Our units are all NON-smoking.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Three days is the minimum rental period.
- Four day minimum on all holiday weekends.
- Five days for Thanksgiving!
- Most of our units do not come with a generator. However generators are available for rent.
- No Mexico travel under any condition.
- No insurance coverage provided.
- No smoking or pets allowed in rented units at any time.
- Do not use regular toilet paper - use biodegradable only. It can be purchased at our parts store.
- Awnings are restricted.
Lack of compliance will result in forfeiture of security deposit and / or minimum charge of $500.00 (five hundred dollars).
AGE REQUIREMENTS
All RV drivers must be at least 25 (twenty five) years of age or older and have a valid California drivers license. All renters for trailers must also be at least 25 (twenty five) years of age or older.
AVAILABILITY
The company’s availability to provide a rental unit is contingent upon and subject to its return by the previous renters and any other causes beyond the company’s control. If, for any reason beyond the company’s control, the unit reserved is not available, the company reserves the right to substitute another unit. Should another unit not be available, the company’s ability will be limited to refund of all refundable monies (the deposit) paid by the customer.
DRY CAMPING
Dry camping is not advised. When the renter is dry camping (not connected to an external power source), problems will most likely arise due to low battery or battery failure. The battery will continue to stay low until renter is connected to an external power source. SUNDOWN RV is not responsible for battery being low or any appliance malfunctions of the unit due to dry camping. No reimbursements will be given for “dry camping” malfunctions.
TRAILER TOWING REQUIREMENTS
The following equipment is required. SUNDOWN RV can install on most models. Please ask for price for each installation. Please schedule an appointment prior to pick-up time to avoid any further delays.
- 2 or 2 5/16 ball (ask which size ball is needed when making reservations)
- 7-way plug for hook up
- Brake control
Make sure the weight of the trailer can be pulled by your vehicle minimum class III receiver hitch.
Tent Trailers - not all tent trailers need brake control – ask your sales rep if yours needs it when you make your reservation.
No towing is allowed behind any rented unit. Unauthorized towing will result in forfeit of deposit and possible additional charges.
INSURANCE / LIABILITY
Customers are responsible for all damage and cost to recreational vehicle, including tire damage of any kind. SUNDOWN RV is not responsible for flat tires or blow outs. Customer is liable for all parking tickets and traffic violations. Report all accidents to rental office and police immediately. Should a breakdown occur, customer must notify rental office for repair authorization and follow instructions provided by SUNDOWN RV. The customer is responsible for checking engine oil, fluids, lug nuts, wheels, tires and coolant level at each refueling as well as reporting mechanical failure immediately. Customer may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance. In the event the vehicle is in breakdown repair for 12 hours or more, through no fault of the customer, our responsibility to customer is limited to refund daily rate or portion thereof. Radio, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, appliances, cruise control, generator malfunctions, etc. are not considered breakdowns and no refunds are available for these items.
CHECK OUT / CHECK IN
*Allow at least one hour for pick up and at least one hour for return.
Pick Up Hours: 10:00am to 4:30pm Monday - Sunday
Return Hours: 10:00am to 4:30pm Monday - Sunday
For your convenience and to serve you best schedule a specific arrival time for pick-up. The unit will be checked out completely as to operation and condition with you and a representative from SUNDOWN RV before departure. At time of check out all rental units will have full propane tanks, gas (motorized only), holding tanks will be dumped and the interior and exterior will be clean. Only authorized drivers are allowed to pick up or return units. Non-compliance with this condition will result in forfeiture of security deposit and may leave customer liable for charges and damage.
Upon return the unit will be inspected. The interior and exterior are to be clean and all personal belongings removed. SUNDOWN RV will not be held responsible for items left in units at time of return. Based on the condition of the rental unit at the time of return the appropriate charges will be applied against the security and cleaning deposits. Returns are to be back same time as picked up. There is a $20.00 charge for every hour late (up to 3 hours) plus an unauthorized rental charge of $50.00. After 3 hours there is an extra day charge.
There is just a modest fee for the following:
· $125 for cleaning interior and exterior
· $50 for emptying holding tanks
· $25 for filling each propane tank
· $15 service fee plus cost of gasoline for motor homes and generators
